Oak Ridge Coordinated School Health Brings Exercise in the Classroom
Obesity among children is on the rise, so what is Willowbrook Elementary in Oak Ridge doing about it? A lot!!
Oak Ridge Coordinated School Health sought out sponsors to have fitness equipment donated to the schools so kids could not only learn but exercise too! The program is designed to get kids moving so they not only stay healthy but it also helps them to concentrate better and do better in school.

I think it’s great that the Oak Ridge Coordinated School Health is making efforts to implement fitness into the school day. As gym programs get cut out of schools, there needs to be a way to incorporate fitness into other learning activities so kids are getting activity and learning lifelong healthy habits.
What is your school doing? What are you doing at home with your kids to help them live healthier? Let me know it the comment section below!
